Can a parent who is a registered sex offender, or who lives with 1, get custody or visitation?

If a parent is a registered sex offender, at that place is a "rebuttable presumption" that it is non in the best interest of the child for that parent to go custody or unsupervised visitation. This means that the estimate will assume (presume) that it is not in the best interest of the kid but the sexual practice offender parent can offer prove to try to modify the judge's listen. The same standard applies fifty-fifty if the parent is non a registered sex offender but lives with someone who is – the guess will presume information technology's not in the kid's all-time interest to exist in that home unless the visitation is supervised.¹

The estimate can only give custody or unsupervised visitation to a parent who is a registered sexual practice offender if the guess specifically determines that the sex offender poses no danger to the child.ⁱⁱ
